Grateful Alumna Creates Scholarship for Business Students with Estate-Pledge Gift

Heidi Himler Holley ’74

Alumna Heidi Himler Holley ’74 had a beloved tradition of giving annually to Marymount when she decided to supplement those gifts with a life-changing estate pledge to support future business students. She credits her career success to the fashion merchandising degree she earned while at Marymount.

“Marymount was a wonderful experience for me,” she recalled. “It’s allowed me to have a fulfilling career and life, and I personally appreciate the Catholic aspect of my education and how it guided my growth.

“When I was in high school, my father passed away unexpectedly—leaving my mother with four children to raise. Because of this hardship, I received a scholarship to attend Marymount. I have decided to give a scholarship to pay it forward in my lifetime by supporting deserving students in getting a quality education like I received.

“I hope my gift plays a small role in inspiring others to give. It doesn’t matter how much you give; any gift helps.”
